It is a good day when you can say that you popped on over to one of the world’s most beautiful baseball stadiums. It is now one of the older parks in the major leagues, but since it has been built, many other stadiums have used it as a model. The movie, Major League II was even filmed there (19 years ago). It is great.
We went to a Dugout Club game, which means that one kid got in for $0 and the rest of us got in for $6. Not a bad bargain for getting to see Chris Davis’ 20th home run of the season.
While I was there, I took this snapshot of one of the more beautiful parts of the ballpark.
(This was as zoomed as my cell phone camera would go)
You can tell by the clouds in the background that the weather was not the greatest. We were in constant fear of a thunderstorm pelting us with rain, but the most we got was a light sprinkle that was actually quite welcomed in the heat of the day.
After a rough patch, the O’s made a comeback and won!
